These are a couple of pieces by a wonderful modern artist called Beatriz Milhazes.

As far as I know she was born in Rio 1960. She is for me a very passionate painter, summing up brazilian cultural imagery and references to western modernist art.

Milhazes’ paintings are in the permanent collections in many institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Anyway here are a couple of her best paintings (in my opinion) let me know what you think!
